NEMOTO CONFIRMED FOR INTERNATIONAL GT OPEN

Mar 15, 2021
NEMOTO CONFIRMED FOR INTERNATIONAL GT OPEN Japanese star Yuki Nemoto will continue his journey with Lamborghini and VSR, competing for the Italian manufacturer in the 2021 International GT Open. Nemoto, along with Tujula and VSR, won the Italian GT Sprint title last season and continues to be the fastest Japanese driver racing in Europe.

Vincenzo Sospiri: I first Yuki race in Japanese Formula 4 in 2015 and knew straightaway that he had a special talent. He made his GT debut with us a year later and was instrumental in helping VSR and Nicolas Costa win the Italian Super GT title. After several seasons in Lamborghini Super Trofeo, where he was always one of the quickest drivers, he stepped up to GT3 last year and won the Italian title. I’m delighted that he is staying with us this year.

Giorgio Sanna (Head of Motorsport, Lamborghini): We are glad to support Yuki in the 2021 GT Open following his win last season in Italian GT3 and the strong performances we saw from him in our Super Trofeo championships. We consider the GT Open to be the right step forward for this talented driver and know that he will represent in the best way possible our GT3 Junior Driver program in Asia.”

Yuki Nemoto: I’m really happy to continue my partnership with VSR and I’m very much looking forward to racing with them in the GT Open. Last year we won the Italian GT Sprint Championship together which was a great achievement and I’m looking forward to fighting for the Championship with my Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo. I really would like to thank Lamborghini Squadra Corse and Giorgio Sanna for all his support and for securing me this opportunity.
