PRO AND PRO-AM LAMBORGHINIS TO RACE WITH VSR COLOURS IN ITALIAN ENDURANCE

Italian GT Endurance
Pro and Pro-Am Lamborghinis to race with VSR colours in Italian Endurance
A successful 2024 season saw VSR win the Pro-Am Italian GT Endurance title and finish second overall. The team’s Pro-Am title will be defended in 2025 by Gilardoni, Michelotto and Zanon. Mattia Michelotto and Ignazio Zanon have won titles for Sospiri’s team whilst racing Lamborghini Super Trofeos and were also instrumental in the team’s Italian GT Pro-Am success last season. Lamborghini stalwart Kevin Gilardoni joins them for this year’s Endurance Championship and will bring a wealth of experience to the line-up.
The team’s Pro entry will be piloted by Beretta, Frassineti and Testa. Michele Beretta, who won the GT Open Championship with VSR in 2021 and finished runner-up in the Italian Championship in 2022, returns to the team and partners with youngsters Andrea Frassineti and Rodrigo Testa. Both have proven their racing craft behind the wheel of Super Trofeo machinery and will take on the challenge of a full-season in GT3 racing for the first time this year.
VSR’s line-ups for the Italian GT Sprint Championship will be announced shortly.
Vincenzo Sospiri (Team Principal): I believe we have two strong cars for this year’s Italian Endurance Championship where historically we have always done well. All our drivers are proven race winners and I’m looking forward to seeing them out on track representing Lamborghini Squadra Corse and VSR in our home Championship.
